Earlham College is a liberal arts college in Richmond, which is a city in east central Indiana, USA, largely within Wayne Township, with a population of approximately 39 000 inhabitants, as of the 2000 census estimate.
Earlham College was founded in 1847, by the Quakers, and it is primarily a residential undergraduate college, also having 2 graduate programs: the master of arts in teaching and the master of education. It is listed in Loren Pope's book, Colleges That Change Lives, and, in 2009, it was ranked 91st by Forbes, in its list of America's Best Colleges.
Earlham's athletic teams are known as The Hustlin's Quakers and they compete in 16 sports, in NCAA Division III. Their distinctive colors are maroon and white and their mascot is Mr. Quaker.
